Is internet access required to use Microsoft 365?

You do not need internet access to use normal office like Word, PowerPoint, Excel that are already installed on your computer.

However, you need internet access to install and update your Microsoft 365 apps. You also need internet access to send files, collaborate, access your files on multiple devices, and work on other apps online.
